Why does Toledo have great professional sports teams? They give us pride in ourselves and our community, and they show the rest of the world what we are capable of. A professional theater company is just as important to a community's growth and sense of itself.

That is why the Glacity Theatre Collective puts on outstanding productions that challenge and inspire audiences to think about what we share--and what we would rather not share!--in our homes, businesses, courtrooms, and churches.

Support for professional theater is one way that Toledo can shape itself and its image in times of anxious change and hopeful possibility. By challenging, questioning and inspiring, great plays by outstanding actors and directors can, at the very least, start a conversation about who we are and what we hope to be.
